To strengthen its position in the senior living industry, Lazard Freres & Company, a real estate equity fund, purchased Atria Communities, Inc. The acquisition set the stage for Atria’s future growth.
Atria merged with ARV Assisted Living of Costa Mesa, CA, combining operations under the name Atria Senior Living Group.
John A. Moore is named Chief Executive Officer of the newly formed Atria Senior Living Group.
Atria’s position as a leading senior living management company was cemented when Ventas purchased its real estate assets and solidified Atria’s primary focus as a management services enterprise.
After Hurricane Sandy, Atria deployed emergency assistance with boots-on-the-ground, a Care-a-Van with batteries, blankets, and generators, and financial support for affected employees. The strategy remains the model for emergency response today.
Following an acquisition, Atria began managing 29 senior living communities in Canada under a newly formed enterprise – Atria Retirement Canada.
Atria moved its Louisville, Kentucky headquarters into an expanded, stylish downtown space.
Atria and Related Companies, a real-estate equity titan, announced a joint venture to create Coterie – a modern, luxury senior living experience for older adults in vibrant urban hubs.
The developers of operating software and comprehensive platforms for Atria began a new enterprise – Glennis Solutions – to help operators manage the full spectrum of senior living business needs.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Atria partnered with Mayo Clinic Labs to conduct rapid, large-scale testing of residents and employees to flatten the disease curve and guide our decision-making with science and data.
In a historic move, Atria expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Holiday Retirement properties. Now operating as Holiday by Atria, these communities present an exceptional senior living experience at an approachable price point.
The first Coterie communities opened their doors at Cathedral Hill in San Francisco and Hudson Yards in New York City.
Glennis Solutions, the longtime Atria software development team, joined Enquire and Sherpa CRM to form Aline. The new joint enterprise takes senior living software and operations support to new heights.
